On Friday Fiona Shaw was at hand to help Shakespeare Tower's Ann Bradley unveil the Silver Street "Blue Plaque" commemorating Shakeapeare's residence in an earlier Mountjoy House

Photographic Exhibition Chance to Barbican from a new angle 13 - Extended to 20 April
You might be inerested in this free photographic exhibition which extends over this weekend.
In addition to looking at the images you get a chance to see the Barbican from a different angle.
I took the picture below when I went to the last exhibition there
WHAT:
Performance
was conceived early in 2012 as British excitement grew in
anticipation of hosting the Olympics. Local sporting events were
photographed as communities played their part in preparing for
the Games. Our sports photographers have captured some of the
tension, excitement and sheer spectacle of a remarkable sporting
year.

Other photographers concentrated on
artistic events, from dance and theatre to street performance
and music. Strong images were produced with costume, make up

External Decorations Briefing and Consultation 19 May 7 pm
Steven Murray of the Barbican Estate Office will be attending a briefing and consultation session on the 19 May at 7 pm in the Lilac room.
We will be discussing the colour choices and how we, as residents can help to ensure that the work is carried out to a high standard. In addition Steve will explain how the contractors will liaise with residents to schedule the work.
